The Party Branch of Tongyou Microelectronics (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. organized a themed Party Day activity titled “Remembering Revolutionary Martyrs and Inheriting the Red Spirit.”
The loyal bones rest in the green hills, while their noble spirit endures forever. To carry forward the red legacy and rally the strength to forge ahead, the Party branch of Tongyou Microelectronics (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. recently organized all Party members, prospective Party members, and department heads to visit the largest Red Army Martyrs’ Cemetery in China—the Sichuan–Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area Red Army Martyrs’ Cemetery—where they held a themed Party Day activity titled “Remembering the Revolutionary Martyrs, Inheriting the Red Spirit.” Through an immersive tour, participants were guided to reflect on their original aspirations as they recalled those heroic years and to embrace their mission anew by revisiting the annals of revolutionary history.

Inductance is the ratio of the magnetic flux linked with a conductor to the current that produces that flux, when an alternating current flows through the conductor and generates an alternating magnetic field both within the conductor and in the surrounding space.

Definition and Variation of the Saturation Current of Monolithic Inductors
The saturation current of a monolithic inductor is defined as the current at which the inductance L decreases by 30% from its initial value. This current corresponds to the DC bias applied to the inductor. The relationship between the saturation current and the Hs (magnetic field strength) of a monolithic inductor is such that, in the initial portion of the powder‑material magnetization curve, the permeability μ remains relatively constant, and the inductance L varies only slightly with changes in the applied magnetic field. In the latter portion of the curve, however, μ increases significantly, and L becomes highly sensitive to variations in the applied field. For a given powder‑material system, the saturation flux density Bs is essentially constant; since Bs ≈ μ·Hs, it follows that Hs must also remain constant. Consequently, the larger the Hs, the smaller the slope of the hysteresis loop—indicating a more gradual change in μ—and the higher the saturation level.

Why are there two ratings for the rated current of power inductors?
The rated current of power inductors is determined by two methods: the “rated current based on self‑heating, Irms,” and the “rated current based on the rate of change of inductance, Isat,” each of which carries significant importance. The “rated current based on self‑heating, Irms,” specifies the maximum allowable current according to the component’s heat generation; exceeding this limit may result in component damage or system failure.
